Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about entering Kilted Competitions competitions.
Q1. Is Kilted Competitions a signatory to the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice?
Yes. Kilted Competitions is currently a signatory to the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators and supports its aims of improving player protection, transparency and accountability.
We have implemented a wide range of measures in line with the Code, including responsible-play spending limits and account controls, 18+ participation, responsible advertising, clearly promoted free-entry routes, transparent competition information, fair and random winner selection, equal treatment of paid and valid free entries, and customer support procedures.
We accept debit and credit card payments. Customers using a credit card are asked to limit their credit card spending to £250 per calendar month and not to use credit cards to enter Instant Win competitions, in line with the DCMS Voluntary Code.
We are working with our payment and platform providers to introduce the technology required to automatically enforce these credit card restrictions.
Instant Win competitions do not form the majority of competitions available on our website.
We also provide information and links to independent support organisations for customers who may have concerns about their participation or spending.
We regularly review our practices and procedures and continue to make improvements to our player protection measures.
Q2. How do I get in contact with you?
Please get in touch with us through our contact page.
Contact usQ3. How do the instant win competitions work?
Instant win competitions have a list of prizes with ticket numbers allocated to them at the time the competition launches, which can be found when you click into the competition and scroll down to the instant wins table.
If you buy a ticket into a competition with instant wins and one or more of your ticket numbers match a winning instant win prize listed on the instant wins table, you will win the prize(s) allocated to it. Instant win competitions have an 'end prize' where every entry purchased into the instant win competition will be entered to win the end prize, drawn as a traditional or automated draw at the end of the competition.
Q4. What happens when I hit an instant win? 🏆
If you hit an INSTANT WIN you will automatically receive an email advising you of the win and you will also see your name against the instant win number within the prize description.
SITE CREDIT INSTANTS - if you hit a site credit instant, the site credit will automatically be added to your account straight away once the instant has been hit.
TICKET BUNDLE INSTANTS - if you hit a ticket bundle we will allocate these into your account, normally the same day they are hit, however please allow 48 hours for them to be allocated.
CASH INSTANTS - if you hit a CASH instant up to the value of £10,000, this will automatically be credited to your Kilted account wallet. For any cash instant wins above £10,000 please forward your winning email to [email protected] alongside your bank details. To withdraw cash from your Kilted account wallet to your bank account, simply click on your account wallet, select withdraw and fill out the information required.
Good luck hitting those instants Kilties! 💥
Q5. How do we know how many entries have sold?
The number of tickets sold is listed against each open competition on our website.
Q6. What happens if tickets do not sell out?
The draw goes ahead regardless of ticket sales.
Q7. What is the payment method?
We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay.
As part of our commitment to the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators, customers should not use a credit card to spend more than £250 per calendar month, and credit cards should not be used for Instant Win competitions.
We are currently working with our payment and platform providers to implement these restrictions automatically. In the meantime, we ask customers to follow these limits when using a credit card.
Debit card payments are not affected by the £250 credit card limit.
Q8. Will I get a receipt of my purchase?

Yes, our Kilted team deliver them to your address if within a reasonable distance, or arrange delivery of the item to anywhere in the UK free of charge.

Q11. How do I know if I have won?
You can watch the live draw on Facebook to see the winning ticket being selected. We will also contact the winner.
Q12. How is the draw made?
